Landscapes in my backyard

I live in a place surrounded by beauty — the Chapman Valley and the local landscape constantly feed into my work. I can’t help but absorb what’s around me and translate it through paint.

My paintings explore the beauty found in both the big and small moments of the natural world, using colour and texture to capture the feeling of a place rather than photographic realism. I’m interested in the undertones — the mood, the atmosphere — and reimagining the landscape in a way that reflects how it feels to be there.
